Columbia Campus Raises Funds for Oil Spill Relief
On June 15, the Columbia Campus held a carnival in the gymnasium to raise funds for relief efforts to clean the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Students played games, had their faces painted, and ate ice cream at the event. Everyone had a wonderful time. The Oil Spill Awareness Day (OSAD) raised over $1100 for Oil Spill relief! The Academy would like to thank Ms. Kelly for her organization of the event, the students for their generosity, and everyone who helped to make this event a great success!
Congratulations, Graduates!
The Academy would like to congratulate all of the Columbia Campus 8th Grade Graduates of the Class of 2010! Thank you for being wonderful students, leaders, and friends! We are so proud of all your accomplishments and know that you will experience much success in the future. Best of luck to you and your families as you enter the next chapter of your life as Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy Alumni! We look forward to hearing about your high school experiences this fall.
Columbia Campus Donor Days
Since early this fall, the Columbia Campus of the Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy has graciously hosted several potential donors who have expressed an interest in becoming active in the Academy community. The campus has received nothing but glowing reviews from our visitors! The Academy would like to thank Mrs. Sheridan, Mrs. Whelan, and all the teachers, staff, and students who have helped out with these visits! We appreciate all that you do!
Candy Cane Sale Raises Money for Cradles to Crayons
The Columbia Campus is currently in the midst of the December Candy Cane Sale with all proceeds going to Cradles to Crayons. The 8th grade has been hard at work selling candy canes from classroom to classroom this month, and the Academy would like to applaud their great efforts for this excellent cause! Keep up the good work!
There's still time to take part in the Candy Cane Fundraiser! The 8th Grade will be selling candy canes until Christmas vacation, so don't forget to buy your candy canes, get in the holiday spirit, and help out those in need!
Columbia Campus After School Students Donate Food to Catholic Charities

On Friday, October 30, students in the Columbia Campus After School Program donated over a dozen grocery bags filled with canned goods and other non-perishable foods to the Yawkee Center for Early Education and Care. Over forty students decorated and presented the bags of food to Ms. Beth Chambers of the Yawkee Center. Ms.Chambers thanked the students for their generous donation and spoke with them about how their kindness would help others. The Academy would like to thank Mr. Hampson and Mr. Ogilvie for their hard work in making this project possible!
